The Classy Echinacea!

One of the most popular native wildflowers is the Echinacea, aka Purple Coneflower.  By mid-summer, these flowers are in full bloom.  Colours vary from rose-pink to mauve-purple, surrounded by it's orange brown core. Attractive to bees and butterflies, a wonderful bloom to admire in the garden. Not just a classy flower, they are heat & drought resistant too, making them one tough plant!
